Casual leather

Whew, I’m back after a whirlwind weekend away! I spent my weekend at a Girl Scout camp northwest of Austin, TX, for the Texas Style Council CAMP. I had an amazing time meeting and connecting with fellow female bloggers and small businesswomen. I have SO much to share, but more on that later… 🙂

I wore this outfit on a gorgeous spring day last week. It was so nice out, I suggested to Chris that we walk to pick up our groceries instead of drive. Even though it was windy, it was a perfect spring day; the jacket was almost too much, especially when hauling the groceries home! I took my new black dress (purchased in December) out for its first spin. I normally gravitate towards fit-and-flare dresses because I find that they flatter me more than other styles, but I saw this dress on a TV show (worn by Dr. Caitlin Snow on The Flash) and HAD to have it. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it fit; it nips in at the waist so my waist doesn’t disappear yet fits well over my hips. Win/win!

  1. I love this casual leather-embellished dress! Fit and flares are my favourite too but there is always something about a shift dress that keeps me coming back! They are so comfy I think 🙂 Also, I can’t wait to hear about your weekend!! xo
